FLOOD ELECTION DAY FOR PALESTINE

The group Within Our Lifetime (WOL) has organized an event titled “FLOOD ELECTION DAY FOR PALESTINE”, set to take place on November 5, 2024, at 7:00 PM outside the Newscorp building in New York. This event, scheduled on U.S. Election Day, uses language referencing the “Toufan Al-Aqsa” attack on October 7, 2023. In that attack, Hamas, a Palestinian-designated terrorist organization, launched a violent assault on Israeli communities surrounding Gaza, calling it “The Flood of Al-Aqsa.” The protest’s name appears to invoke this violent event, with the stated purpose of discouraging public voting with the message, “Do Not Vote for Genocide.”

While the protest is not on a university campus, student involvement is anticipated, especially from groups with similar views.
